Since 1889

An introduction and history of our family’s agricultural products – and the very FUN! brand development of Fairbank Farms – and its evolution through the decades and family generations from the 19th century and into the 21st century.
In 1889, our Great Grandfather, Arthur R. Fairbank, founded a small dairy in DeWitt, NY near Syracuse.
Fairbank Farms Dairy, Inc., was incorporated in 1935 in the State of New York.
On Sunday, May 10, 1936 a new model dairy plant was opened at 1870 Erie Blvd. East

Thanks, Kelly!
A key distinction in the business model of Fairbank Farms was the financial arrangements made with “an army of picked farmers” from whom the dairy purchased their various types of cow’s milk.
Fairbank Farms did not maintain a dairy farm but maintained solid, loyal business relationships with regional dairy farmers who met the high quality standards for branding with the Fairbank Farms name.
A long and rich history of providing healthy and high quality products to the Central New York region.
